The category description is an optional text field where you can provide additional details about the category’s purpose or content and the description is usually displayed on category archive pages.
To show the category description
- Go to Dashboard >> Posts >> Categories and click “Edit” on the category you want to update.
- Scroll down to find the Description box at the bottom of the page.
- Enter your text in the Description box and click the Update button to save the changes.
- Then category description text will automatically shown on the category page.
